WHAT IS THE MARYLAND SPORTS BUSINESS CONFERENCE?
The Maryland Sports Business Conference was created in 2020 by undergraduate students in the Sports Business Society at the University of Maryland. They aim to increase awareness around sports business and educate students about the vast possibilities within this career field. They strive to foster a diverse and inclusive sports community, and connect their students with sports business professionals and organizations. The 2024 Maryland Sports Business Conference will empower students to be innovative, be ambitious, and be fearless. The conference will feature a variety of speakers and sponsors representing various sectors of the sports industry. This is a great way to hear from the best in the industry and learn more about different career opportunities.

WHO WILL BE THERE?
The target audience for the conference is UMD undergraduate students that are interested in pursuing a career in the sports industry. Past students tended to be business, journalism, communications, or kinesiology majors. Other attendees include student athletes, academic faculty, Maryland Athletics staff, alumni, and local professionals.
